Shipping ENS What is the cost (International shipping costs)

ENS (Entry Sumary Declaration) refers to the European Customs Advance Manifest Rule, which is also called the EU Customs Advance Manifest Rule or the EU Anti-terrorism manifest declaration because it applies to 27 EU member states. ENS is the cost of maritime declaration, ENS declaration is the responsibility of the shipping company (carrier), and the carrier must declare the goods to the EU customs 24 hours before loading.

Shipping ENS Fees:

Generally speaking, the current ENS fee is basically the same as AMS, basically USD25/ ticket, and some companies charge USD35/ ticket, but different companies have different charging standards, and the basic difference is not very big. If you make FOB quotation with customers, you must pay ENS fees, and ENS fees belong to the FOB category. Since this operation takes place before the ship leaves the Chinese port, the FOB customer must pay ENS fee.

ENS Cargo declaration by sea:

  • All goods imported into the EU

  • All goods transited in any EU port (whether or not the final destination is in the EU)

  • All goods in transit (e.g. goods transported to other countries by car or train)

  • Ununloaded cargo on board (e.g. goods to Russia, call at EU port but not unloaded)

In short, as long as the ship first calls at any port in the EU, regardless of the destination, it must declare ENS.

ENS will be implemented on 1 January 2012, and all goods travelling to or through EU ports must be declared by ENS.
